There's more to Easter than just the eggs.......
Semana Santa 2009

Easter week is known in Southern Spain as Semana Santa (Holy Week). Everyone should experience the Semana Santa processions of Andalucia at least once in their life – and there is truly nothing like this anywhere else in the world. Not changed by the modern world, these spectacular processions involve all the local people with a show of religious and community devotion that hasn’t changed for hundreds of years.

With Camino Holidays you can visit the towns and cities of Andalucia most famous for their Semana Santa celebrations, Jerez de la Frontera and Sevilla. Not only will you be able to enjoy an unusual Spring Break, but you can also use the processions as a backdrop to unique activity holiday.

Camino Holidays – New Photographic Holidays in Andalucia

Camino Holidays are delighted to announce that their new Photography Holidays will be tutored by award winning photographer Simon Brown.

Simon has worked as a professional photographer in Andalucia for 14 years. His work ranges from landscapes for tourist boards to interiors for local hotels and restaurants. He has won five different awards for his images, the most recent being 2005 when the Regional Council awarded him first prize for a shot of Cape Trafalgar. He has tutored photography holidays for 6 years.

This area is known as "La Costa de la Luz" (the coast of light) because of the clarity and intensity of light. Photography here gives clients the opportunity to learn new skills and capture amazing images.
Study observation, composition and exposure techniques.
Learn to work with many types of lights, colours during day and night.
Capture unique images of this area - the mountains, beaches, colourful and exciting local festivals, ancient buildings and fascinating people.
Learn to download and edit your photographs
Holidays include daily feedback and assessment sessions with Simon
Photography holidays can be based in either Jerez or Vejer and you will have the opportunity to take photographs all over the region.

We have a set of photographs which we can send you, taken by Simon Brown in this area which illustrate not only his work, but the type of work our holidays will cover.

For a fantastic start to these holidays we are offering a photography holiday during the amazing Feria del Caballo (early May) in Jerez de la Frontera.

Feria del Caballo Photography Holiday (Sunday 10 – Thursday 14 May)

Camino Holidays - Bespoke breaks for the dates you want!

Camino Holidays run bespoke holidays in the beautiful Spanish region of South West Andalucia around a range of fantastic activities. For groups of all sizes from one person to twenty (and everything in between) we create holidays all year round tailored to suit client’s budgets and needs and you choose the dates that suit you perfectly.

We also organize holidays during particularly interesting festivals and events in the area. These are a great way of joining a small group of people who share your interests, but with these holidays of course (unlike our normal holidays) you can't choose any dates that you like. Details of this type of holidays can be found on the News and Updates page of our website.

Our holidays are suitable for all ages and we welcome single people and single parent families. Our local representatives and tutors are highly experienced and qualified and will help you to get the most out of your holiday.

We also organize corporate events holidays, hen and stag weekends and special occasion breaks such as honeymoons, anniversaries, weddings and also re-affirmation of vows!

As we are a bespoke company you set your holiday budget and tell us how much you want to spend, but a typical 5 day/4 night break with Camino Holidays will cost around £599 per person (2 people sharing a twin/double room). The price includes accommodation in lovely boutique hotels, some meals, all transport (including airport transfers), excursions, classes, treatments.

All transport (including airport transfers to and from Malaga, Sevilla or Jerez airports) can be included in the price of your holiday.
This means that you don’t have to drive at all during your holiday (unless you want to). Our experienced local representatives know all the local roads making your holiday transport convenient and stress free.
If you are interested in being chauffeured in a special type of car (convertible or luxury car) we can organise this if you book it from us in advance.ses and treatments.

We do not supply flights, but are happy to offer flight advice.

Camino Holidays have a Blog!

Welcome to the very first Camino Holidays blog.
My name is Rosi Reed and Camino Holidays is my company. Most of my work is taken up with developing the company, which can mean all kinds of different things - so no day is like another (no such thing as a boring day in the office here)!

If you've got this far in our blog you'll know what Camino Holidays do.....what we're all about etc, so I'm not going to talk about that here.

When I'm developing the company it means that I'm doing things like creating our lovely new Blog and our page on Facebook. I also come up with new ideas for holidays, new themes for holidays and new ways of publicising the company and raising our profile.

I spend lots of time helping our clients to create their perfect holidays - which is frankly the best bit of this job, apart from getting all the lovely emails and letters after the holidays, which is very ego-balming, although actually they hardly ever mention me as the people our clients really remember and want to "big up" are our lovely representatives, drivers and tutors out in Spain.

Highlights we're working on at the moment are our Mother's Day Gift Holidays, International Flamenco Guitar Competition Holiday (with Flamenco Guitar Classes) and our Photography Holiday at the Feria del Caballo. More news on all of these to follow......
